diana mini double exposure overlaps

The top one was a mistake, because the camera wouldn’t wind; the second was intentional (I think), only partially winding on.

diana mini first photos

I had my first 2 rolls taken with the Diana Mini developed today. I’m pleasantly surprised. I very, very, very much like this camera. In lots and lots of ways.

a new old one

I took this last year at the same time as this, this and this, but only just had a look at it.
And today I finally updated my very-out-of-date WordPress installation (from 2.5.1 to 2.9.2). A scary process all round, but it went without incident.

another 3 from hanley park

I got a new light meter this week. Instead of using it for useful things like taking photos I’ve mostly been using it to measure the EV of things around the house, including my moods. I’ve also bought a Diana Mini. I prefer square format and am far happier with my MF photos than others, so now I have a use for all that 35mm film I’ve got stored in various boxes and drawers. There’s something psychological going on when I use a Diana/Holga because I stop caring and just take pictures. Good times.

…whoooooooosh…
Flying in to say hello, and then goodbye. It’s not that I don’t care, because I do. It’s just that I haven’t had time for us recently. Something has come between us. I’m sorry.
In other words, I’ve kinda not been that bothered about taking photos the past couple of months. Been in a funk, I suppose. No matter. I’m not worried, which is good. If I start worrying about it, then there’s a danger I’ll think taking photos is a chore, or I’ll make myself angry, or something. So I’m not bothered, I’ll take some more photos eventually. I’ve got a fair few that need scanning. I’ll do it. One day.
An old one or two:

Not my dog. I don’t have dogs. I like cats. I’ve got nothing against dogs. They’re very cute and funny. When they are other people’s dogs and somewhere over there. I like cats.

the ponderbench

Taken yesterday in Hanley Cemetery. It’s one of my favourite benches in the cemetery, but this stenciling is new. Every public space should have a ponderbench.

Bet you wish you had a view like this …
I’m determined to find some 35mm pictures I like.
