in front of me

More often than not this is what is right in front of me, for most of the day. Except, at the moment,  it’s probably 100x more messy. The further I get into a semester the messier my house, and my life, gets. I bought a shredder to try to get on top of the endless piles of papers littering the house, but so far all I’ve managed to do is pile a few papers on top of it. Actually, looking over to it now, I’ve put a couple of books on top of that too; obviously I need to address the unfortunate shortage of ‘places for books’ as well.

I can’t move more than a foot or so in front of me, wherever I am in the house, without having to step over a pile of this, or a bundle of that. I’m hoping a cluttered house is the sign of a cluttered, but very intellectual, mind.
